Natural Disaster Films
There are countless films portraying the world ending due to some "act of God" natural disaster, a few of the memorable ones I have seen are:
These films portray a combination of mass destruction caused by either tsunamis, earthquakes, volcanos, tornados, hurricanes, or meteors striking the earth, or a combination of these disasters. While these movies may be slightly far-fetched in the enormous spectrum of destruction, this is probably the most believable type of apocalypse. These types of films really affect viewers, as most everyone has seen the news and witnessed the types of disaster that occur all over the world. This type of destruction can happen anywhere and at any time. It is smart to take the necessary precautions when you get word that a storm is heading your way, and it is best to evacuate when you are told. However, some people get so caught up and paranoid about these types of things that their lives begin to revolve around preparing for the worst. If you spend your life in constant fear and hiding, are you really living at all? This fear, in and of itself, is a type of apocalypse.
